How to fix cracked screen on iPhone

The only way to fix a cracked screen is simply by replacing it with a new one. This will cost you a bit of your buck depending on your iPhone’s series/ model. Either you can have your phone repaired by an authorized Apple technician, or you can decide to DIY at the comfort of your home. First, it is important to understand that as far as screen replacement is concerned, there are always two ideal options.
The first one is to get a complete screen, which costs more than the second option, which is buying the screen element. Professionals advocate for the complete kit, which not only saves you some extra cost of buying extra tools, but also gives you the opportunity to use authorized tools. The former includes attached elements that include the home button.

The Procedure;
If you opt to fix your screen on your own, then here are some sure steps that should bring your phone and screen back to life;
·         Dismantle your iPhone using the star-shaped screwdriver and ensure that you keep the screws in a bowl or a safe location. Losing a single screwdriver could disfigure your phone and render it dysfunctional.
·         Get your phone out of its casing with a suction pad. Using the hand to lift the screen can prove to be quite a daunting task. Alternatively, you could use plastic pics that make it easier to remove the screen once there is a gap.
·         Ensure that the screen is not elevated past 90 degrees in a vertical angle. This is likely to stretch and damage the cables connected to the motherboard.
·         Be alert on handling the replacement screen and handle the three-connector cables with utmost care. These cables are located on the top part of the metal plate within the phone.
·         Three screws tightly hold this metal plate and keep it in its right position. Carefully unscrew these metal screws with a crosshead screwdriver and place them in a bowl for safety and accountability purposes.
·         You will notice plate latches on the left side, and you can remove them carefully using plastic pics. Since they are very fragile, ensure that you apply as less force as possible.
·         Once all the plates are removed, attach the new screen to the three cables and return every other component using the same order that you used to dismantle. Enjoy your new screen.
